Dr. Nileshkumar Dubey, BDS, PhD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry specializing in biomaterials, regenerative dentistry, and advanced manufacturing technology.
Topic: From Algorithms to Outcome: The Role of AI in Modern Oral Healthcare
Objectives:
1. Understand how AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google Bard assess and interpret dental-related questions.
2. Explore whether AI can be safely integrated as a clinical support tool and identify where its limitations or risks still exist.
3. Recognize how algorithmic modeling tools—such as genetic algorithms and Net Logo’s rule-based simulations—can support prediction, optimization, and decision-making in modern oral healthcare.

This course (classes start Jan 21st, 2026) prepares the dental assistant who is employed in a dental office to sit for the DANB Exam in Radiation Health & Safety Certification. 6:00-9:00 on Mondays & Wednesdays. 11 total classes per course (33 hours).
